Request materials

Learn how to request different types of items. If we don't have the material you need, we can likely borrow it from another library. This service is free for UW-Green Bay students, faculty, and staff.

Articles

Request a journal article and receive a PDF.

  • Search for the article’s DOI or title and author in Search@UW. Be sure to check Add results that require delivery time if it is not already enabled.
  • View the article instantly by clicking Download PDF or View Online.
    Article that is available instantly
  • If those options are not available, click the article's title and then Request a PDF (1-3 days) to submit an interlibrary loan request in ILLiad. You will receive an email when the article is available to download.
    Article that must be requested.
  • If you cannot find the article in Search@UW, submit a request for it in ILLiad.

Books

Request a book and have it delivered to the UW-Green Bay campus of your choice.

  • Search for the book in Search@UW.
  • Use UWGB Libraries Request (1-3 days) or UW System Request (3-5 days), depending on which is available. You will be prompted to choose a pickup location.
    Use either option. UWGB Libraries requests will generally be available more quickly than UW System requests.
  • If you cannot find the book in Search@UW, submit a request for it in ILLiad.

Please note that you can only request print books; it is not possible to request e-books the library does not own.

Book Chapters

Request a single chapter from a book and receive a PDF.

Multimedia

Request a CD, DVD, or Blu-ray and have it delivered to the UWGB campus of your choice.

  • Search for the item in Search@UW.
  • Use UWGB Libraries Request (1-3 days) or UW System Request (3-5 days), depending on which is available. You will be prompted to choose a pickup location.
  • If you cannot find the item in Search@UW, submit a request for it in ILLiad.

Please note that you can only request physical material; it is not possible to request streaming media the library does not own.
