This activity is designed to help your students develop keywords they can use for searching for information on their research topics. Sometimes the first words we think of are not actually the best search terms to use, which can cause a lot of frustration for students when searching, especially when using library resources. Helping generate other keywords will help set students up for success when researching on their own using library resources and online. In addition, this will naturally help students begin to narrow or broaden their topics as needed.
A librarian can come to your class to run this lesson for you, or a librarian can customize a lesson for your class based around your unit of study or assignment requirements. Please contact us if you are interested in this option.
