APA Style Examples
A References page lists all of the sources cited throughout a paper. Reference list entries generally include the author, date, title, and source. Here are commonly cited types of sources and example references.
Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year of publication). Title of article. Title of Journal, volume number(issue number), page range. https://doi.org/10.0000/0000
McCauley, S. M., & Christiansen, M. H. (2019). Language learning as language use: A cross-linguistic model of child language development. Psychological Review, 126(1), 1-51. https://doi.org/10.1037/rev0000126
If a journal article has a number instead of a page range, use the word "Article" followed by the article number in place of the page range. For example:
Cross, J. L., Choma, M. A., & Onofrey, J. A. (2024). Bias in medical AI: Implications for clinical decision-making. PLOS Digital Health, 3(11), Article e0000651. https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pdig.0000651
If there is no author, move the title of the page to beginning of the citation. If there is no date listed, use (n.d.).
