About this guide
This guide will help you gather resources for your scholarly teaching project. Three types of resources are made available in this guide: resources on how learning works and general strategies for teaching in distance education environments, a collection of well-regarded teaching and learning centers and the more-focused resources they provide, and discipline-specific teaching journals that delve into the particular challenges of teaching one's discipline.
For your scholarly teaching project, please find four sources which speak to the teaching innovation you wish to integrate into your class the next semester in which you teach it.
- Two sources should offer general advice for distance teaching (books about online teaching, advice from other Centers of Teaching and Learning).

Two sources should be from SoTL journals in your discipline, a closely allied discipline, or the general SoTL journals.

- Trauma Informed Care Toolkit
In recognition of these circumstances, the [UWM] healing and community-building work group, led by Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and Global Inclusion and Engagement, has developed Trauma-Informed Teaching and Supervision Toolkits. These Toolkits utilize resources from the national higher education community, as well as materials developed here at UWM.
