A new version of Search@UW will launch on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Most of the improvements are happening behind-the-scenes, so you may not notice much of a difference.
Although we have worked to minimize the impact of the upgrade, any saved searches you have in Search@UW will not transfer to the new version, and the URLs for Search@UW records will change. This guide will show you how to prepare for the upgrade. We strongly encourage you to do this prior to May 20.
If you have any questions, just select the Research Help tab to contact us.
This link will allow you to use the new version of Search@UW before it officially launches on May 20, 2021
Recreating your saved searches
If you have any saved searches in Search@UW, you will lose access to them when the new version of Search@UW is released on Thursday, May 20. To view your existing saved searches:
Sign in to your Search@UW account. You can do this by selecting Accounts on the UW-Green Bay Libraries homepage, or by selecting Sign in when you're using Search@UW.
Select the pushpin next to your name to go to your favorites.
Then, select Saved Searches.
If you want to keep any of your searches, review their search terms, scope, and active filters, and document them in a way that works well for you (e.g., copying and pasting the text into an email, printing the page, or saving a screenshot).
For any searches that you want to keep, recreate them in the upgraded Search@UW, either in the preview version linked above or after it goes live on May 20. Sign in to your account, repeat the search and apply filters, then then select Save query.
