New Era Library card

Types of Library Users

Types of BORROWERS

Students, faculty, and staff use Campus ID Cards to borrow materials from the library. 

  1. Any student, faculty, or staff member may borrow materials from the Library.
  2. Campus ID cards are issued in the library. 
  3. Students and Faculty can check-in / check-out with their ID cards. (Or you can also look them up by Last and First name)

Community Borrowers:  New Era

  1. Any Wisconsin resident, 18 years of  age or older may also borrow materials from the Library. 
  2. They must first be registered as community borrowers through the New Era system.
  3. Those under 18 may use the collection on the premises, but may not check out materials unless they are registered.

Registering New Era Borrowers

  1. New Era forms are under the left hand side of the circulation desk on the first shelf.
  2. Ask the patron to complete the form. 
  3. Request a driver’s license.  Compare information.  Remember New Era users must be 18 or older.
  4. Give the new patron the current informational handout on library hours, loan periods, phone numbers, etc. 
  5. Initial and date registration card.
  6. Give to a library staff person to enter into Voyager.
