Manual for Student Assistants (Manitowoc Location Only): Circulation

This is the Manual for the Library Student Workers of the UWGB-Manitowoc Campus.

Student workers are at the center of all library business at UW-Manitowoc.

You are the face of the library! You are the first person that library patrons see when they enter the room.  Will they find the library to be a welcoming and helpful place?  Or will they leave frustrated?
Our goal is to provide bodacious and uplifting service to each of our patrons.  SMILE! Be cheerful and positive!

Never tell a patron you "do not know", rather be confident and problem solve, or refer them to someone who does know or can guide them in the right direction.

We also strive to provide an atmosphere conducive to study and productive work.  In order to do this, we ask that student workers do not visit with friends or acquaintances while working at the desk.
