Archives & Area Research Center

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Archives and Area Research Center (ARC) has original materials pertaining to Northeastern Wisconsin. Our records are open to the public and are available for anyone to use. We also are the home of the archives of UW-Green Bay. We have founding documents, campus blueprints, student newspapers, publications, syllabi, photographs, official committee records, theses and memorabilia.

Governor’s Archives Award 2018

This past October, the Archives and Area Research Center (ARC) was presented with the 2018 Governor’s Archives Award for Archival Innovation. “The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Archives and Area Research Center is receiving this award for expanding the audiences served at the UW-Green Bay Archives and Area Research Center, specifically, broadening the use and study of archival collections across the undergraduate curriculum,” said Matt Blessing, State Archivist for the Wisconsin Historical Society. 

National History Day

Coordinated by the Archives Department, the Northeastern Wisconsin National History Day competition was held on the UW-Green Bay campus in early March. Three hundred students, representing sixteen area schools, presented 190 projects on a wide variety of historical topics. Ninety-five students were selected to advance to the state level competition of National History Day.
