UW-Green Bay Libraries and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning are working with instructional staff to adopt, adapt, or create Open Educational Resources (OER) for their courses. This program helps shape the OER landscape at UW-Green Bay while supporting key goals: improving student success and retention, promoting equity and inclusion, embracing digital transformation, and advancing sustainability.

Since the program launched, 49 instructors have participated—saving 4,727 students a total of $511,782 on course materials!

Participants in the OER Program receive support from a dedicated team to help them:

  • Find freely available instructional materials, including open-access scholarly research
  • Revise courses to align with best teaching practices
  • Explore Creative Commons licensing options for modified or newly created OER content

To view OER materials that have been created at UWGB, visit the OER Collection in the Institutional Repository!
